Naughts win over Chargers 49-35

After a tight game, the Naughts pulled a fourth quarter win over the North Miami Beach Chargers, 49-35. “You stood together, and you didn’t quit,” head coach, Bill Castle said in an address to the team.
The Chargers finished off their first possession with a touchdown after their quarterback, Cedric Wiggins completed a 14 yard pass to Steve Ismael with 6:46 left in the first quarter, giving the Chargers the lead, 0-7, where the score would remain for the rest of the first quarter.
The Naughts would score their first touchdown during the second quarter on a first and goal attempt from North Miami’s 10-yard line when freshman, Anthony Davis carried the ball into the end zone, tying up the game at 7-7. North Miami would reclaim their lead with 4:07 left in the first half when Ishmael would complete yet another pass for a touchdown from 15 yards out, giving the Chargers the lead at half at 7-14.
First off the block third quarter to score was the Naughts Davis, who carried the ball 46 yards on a second and ten attempt to tie up the game, 14-14. North Miami would score on their following possession when Ismael would receive a 27-yard pass for a diving touchdown with 3:52 left in the third quarter to give the Chargers a lead of 14-21. Ra’Don Dwight would get his first touchdown of the night with 1:33 left in the third when he completed a 4-yard drive into the end zone, evening out the score again at 21-21, where it would stand until the fourth quarter.
The Chargers would emerge to gain their final lead with 10:43 left in the fourth quarter when Wiggins ran the ball 77-yards for a touchdown, advancing Miami to 21-28. Two plays later, quarterback, Aaron Johnson would run the ball 72-yards for the Naughts to bring them back into the game with 10:37 on the clock to give the Naughts an even. 28-28. On the Chargers following possession, Sherby Samplice would pick up a fumble on North Miami’s 27-yard line forcing a turnover in the Naughts favor, ultimately creating the Naughts shift into dominance. Jacob Sundey would finish the Naughts possession with a 22-yard carry into the end zone to give the Naughts their first lead, 35-28, with 9:31 left in the game. Jacquan Foster would intercept a pass from the Chargers Wiggins (intended for Ismael) to score, running it a solid 28-yards into the endzone to advance the Naughts lead to 42-28. “I had to redeem myself from the first half, I had to get back into it…[When I got the touchdown] I was feeling good, I was down [earlier in the game], ” Foster said.
Ra’Don Dwight would score the Naughts final touchdown for the night on their following possession when he finished off a first and one attempt for the Naughts form the North Miami 12, giving the Naughts a lead of 49-28 with 24.3 seconds left in the game. The Chargers would make one final touchdown with 10 seconds left on the clock when Immel Rai ran back a 97-yard kick off to finalize all scoring at 9-35.
The Naughts had 478 yards of total offense for the night, as compared to the Chargers 260. Zack Feddeler went 7-7 on extra point kicks, despite missing a field goal earlier in the game.
The Naughts, now 5-0, go on to play away at Jenkins next week. “We have a great rivalry against Jenkins, hopefully it’ll be a good game and if we play together we could win,” Feddeler said.
